Cons: Battery consumption when recording!, records in real-time
The Bottom Line: If you are thinking about buying it, Buy it! But do not pay over $200 for it, though it would be worth every penny. This records at CD quallity.

Get this: $129 bucks! I found this product at www.ubid.com, a very nice priced online auction. The company auctions the items off, not "users", so everything is faster, and definetly more reliable. I know that most of the people that bought it paid about $200 for it, but still the price for this item is a BIG PLUS!
A man reason for buying this item is to record live concerts (i know, that just might be illegal in some cases). It does a great job of it! Usually, microphones are mono (one channel of sound. CDs you buy have 2 channels of sound- right and left- it makes the music sound much better, and lets different sounds come out of the right and left speakers). You can buy stereo mics, which this minidisc recorder accepts. Recording live music, or other sounds in stereo makes it at least twice as good as mono.
I bought it because it does just about everything i would want it to do.
The line-in jack lets you record directly from just about any other device that has a line-level output:
-Portable CD Player
-Portable Cassette Player
-Television, VCR
-Home entertainment systems
-Computers
-Other Minidisc players/recorders!
-keyboards
-Turntables
-Mixing counsoles (small or professional)
Also, here are some sources you can record directly from the MIC jack:
-Microphone (any, XLR w/converter, condenser, etc)
-Electric Guitar
-Electric Bass Guitar
-Turntables
ANOTHER BIG PLUS!!!: Completely skip free! I think is claimed to be 40 second anti skip, but i couldnt even get it to skip after practically beating the crap out of it!
For battery life on the questions below, i put "excellent-more than 10 hours" because it plays for at least 10 hours. But recording battery life it definetly not as good!
