Growing up with Cablevision, I've grown to expect a lot out of my cable. I mean, yeah, it may be just a minor thing, and I don't even watch TV all that much, but that's not the point!
Except for the fact that it offers cable modems, Suburban pretty much sucks. I've experienced more fuzzy screens through mild rainstorms in a few months than I have my whole life since I've turned to Suburban.
Also, Cablevision offers a lot more channels. Everything on Suburban is blocked out, except for channels that are either commercial saturated or bland, or tasteless.
The channel on Suburban which serves as a little "TV Guide", telling you what's on next really bites the big one. Over half the screen is a commercial, and then the tiny bit on the bottom shows the TV shows that are about to play, but the list moves very slow, and you can only see about 3 channels at once. It's also in a dark blue screen with lighter coloring, so it's hard to see. And since I get Basic Cable, the whole bottom part of the screen is red for me usually, because red signifies "Not Basic Cable."
ALL of the good channels are on extended cable. Also, I constantly see LAME commercials for Suburban. Example: I'm watching Undressed, and I see a black screen with the sound of a wolf howling. Then there's white lettering on the screen. WHY IS HE UP THIS LATE AT NIGHT? IS IT BECAUSE HE'S TALKING TO HIS FRIENDS? OR IS IT BECAUSE THERE'S NOTHING ON THIS LATE AT NIGHT? GET SUBURBAN CABLE.
Thanks guys, I needed that interruption.
When we first moved here, getting the guys here took a pretty long time. Also, they didn't bring adequate supplies and had to push the appointment back when they finally did come. And they were late.
I end with this very appropriate commercial: The two guys are sitting on a couch, waiting for their cable guy. It shows them practically passed out on the couch, and then there's a slogan about something like, "Gotta wait a while? Eat a Snickers Bar!"
Well, if Suburban were the only cable service, I'd definitely buy some stock in Snickers.
