Good if you shop there a lot

Pros: Free LL Bean shipping, 3% back on LL Bean purchases

The MBNA L.L. Bean Visa Card gives you 3% back on L.L. Bean purchases and 0.5% back on all other purchases. This money back comes in the form of $10 L.L. Bean certificates.

The part that actually might make this card worthwhile is that it also gives you free shipping from L.L. Bean. Since every order is a standard $4.95 for FedEx 2-3 day shipping, it can make the cost of shopping at L.L. Bean very attractive. Especially when you consider that every package you get comes with a free return label in case you aren't satisfied.

Of course, if you never buy anything from L.L. Bean, then it isn't a great card. Although I have had one since 1997 I haven't used it much lately. I use it to buy stuff from L.L. Bean and that's pretty much it. My bread and butter cards are currently the Chase Shell Mastercard and the Discover card.
