Pros: You can get the card.
Cons: Billing problems seem not to be addressed properly.
The Bottom Line: Aspire is a card that I would reluctantly recommend. I would have to tell someone to beware once they have the card.

| ladydynamic's Full Review: Aspire Visa Gold |
I received a Aspire Visa Card, the basic one initially. My credit limit was raised in a very short time and I received a gold card. However from the time I got the first card, I never used the card. However they would call and make offers for auto services and the like and charge to the card. I would call and cancel the service before the free period was complete. All of a sudden, I was being charged not only for the services but a late charge. I never used the card or agreed to the services long term. When I called to get it corrected, I was told I had talked to the wrong person (meaning the person that removed it the first month). I asked to be transferred to the right person. I went to a couple of people before I got to someone that would talk about it. This continued for about 3 months. Finally according to them they reduced my credit limit because I refused to pay. From several thousand dollars to a few hundred. Why should I pay for anything I did not authorize? Remember I never charged anything on the card. I only activated it. The charges, at one point, was removed by one customer service person on one month and added back, by another the next month. Finally I called and said just cancel the card since I can not get you to understand I will not pay for charges I did not authorize. I even called the company that I had reviewed their services to see if they had notified Aspire that I did not want them. In each instance they had and told me I should not be billed. Needless to say I did cancel the card, not because I could not pay, or was over the limit, or my payments were late but instead because I was paying for charges I did not authorize. I must say, it was easier to cancel the card. The customer service person that took that call was very polite, and she obviously knew how to cancel. I even got a statement indicating that I had a 5 dollar credit that would be forwarded to me upon receipt of a request and my current address. They can keep the 5 dollars, if I have to request what they owe me. They did not verify my address before sending the statement that told me I was owed 5 bucks, so why verify it to send me the 5 dollars. What an experience!
