Pros: Reasonable interest rates and no hidden fees
Cons: Interest rates are not discounted like other cards
The Bottom Line: I would not go with them if you have good credit. If you do you can take it somewhere else and be treated like an educated consumer.

| dboc_99's Full Review: Citibank |
I have been a Citibank holder since 94. In the past they have always had good rewards programs, excellent customer service and competitive rates. Now they are treating me like a jerk.
When I first got my Citibank card, the company was very professional and seemed to treat me well. They later upgraded me to their gold card and increased my credit limit. I thought since this was a standard card (not a secured one) that getting to that status by paying bills on time would mean something to them. It doesn't and they still treat me like an ignoramus with a few things they have done as a company to increase profits
For example, they now send me an offer for Credit Shield every month which offers to pay my minimum balance if I should become involuntarily unemployed. For this they were asking around 6 dollars per month. Here is the catch. You have to get laid off to get it and they won't start paying your balance until you are unemployed for 60 days. Who could possibly stay legally unemployed for 60 days? So, they never wind up paying out claims and yet they act like I'd be irresponsible to not take advantage of credit shield to "protect your credit if laid off." As if being unemployed is just a small detail on your credit report? Come on.
Secondly, they keep sending me these stupid solicitations for a a Swiss army knife with built in alarm clock or some such other low quality product. I know. This is what I mean by being treated like a jerk.
Until this company starts treating its valued customers better, I wouldn't recommend it.
