Two minor points (Reply to this comment)
by Arthur.Rubin, in Personal Finance
1. The USAA credit card information is technically off-topic for this review. If you want to include the information you have here on that credit card, and perhaps add something more, I would have no objection to rating that review at least Helpful. Others may claim it as a duplicate review unless you remove it from this review, but I would not. It's your choice, but I think you have enough material for two (or possibly three, if you separate out USAA homeowner's insurance) VH reviews.
2. I've read that some USAA services do not require a military affiliation, although I don't recall which ones. If the insurance services are among those which do not require a military affiliation, that would indicate an appropriate change to your review.
Still Very Helpful, and I appreciate seeing your review.

Fast Approaching 30 years with USAA .. (Reply to this comment)

and am very happy with them. I have auto and homeowners' insurance, a mortgage, and a credit card, which means I usually get a decent IS check at the end of the year! About the only thing that never worked was the auto service thingie (like AAA) so I went back to ... AAA.
One great thing about the auto insurance - it covers autos in transit overseas. I've never had an auto fall off the ship while being loaded, but I know someone who did. I don't know any other insurance company that would promptly pay for a car that was under 400 feet of water.
And when I was at Ft. Riley, KS, we had a hail storm. Not "golf-ball" sized hail. Oh, no. Kansas goes in for the "baseball" sized stuff. The kind that caves in the roofs of building, and does indescribable things to cars. :-O With only about a gazillion members with damage to both houses and cars, they handled all of the claims in a little over a week.
Nice review!
