USAA is such an amazing insurance company that it's scary. It was created for the special problems and needs of the military. Active duty military frequently move around the country and even to foreign bases. Trying to deal with regular insurance companies (with their rigid rules)created a hardship for the military.
I have been a member of USAA for 20 years, carrying auto and apartment insurance. Every member of family still belongs to USAA, including my father for 35 years. You'd have to be crazy not to. Not one time have I ever spoken to someone at USAA who wasn't caring, courteous and professional. The true test, of course is when something goes wrong. When I had an accident, I didn't have to drag the car around to body shops for bids. USAA is trusted by body shops with integrity. All I had to do was go to one of their approved shops and everything would be billed directly to them. If you question a bid or a estimate, they are reasonable. I have heard the same wonderful stories from numerous people. I have yet to hear one bad thing about them! In addition, they try to make it easy for you to conduct business with them. USAA also offers every imaginable financial service, such as credit cards, investments, mortgages and other types of loans. They also offer services for travel, moving, home purchases, and many others. It makes life easier to deal with only one company.
I will be shocked if any other company can even come close to USAA.
