Game and Watch Gallery 2 is a game that adds the new with the old. It has 5 games and it has two versions of each game, a colored modern version and a black and white classic version. These games used to be on watches and now they are very expensive. I tried to find out how much it was, and I was amazed. So Nintendo game out with this for a very cheap price of $25 and it has the games that were on the watch too. My brother bought this game as his first game for Game Boy Color about 2 months ago. The five games are:
Parachute
-----------
•Modern
The scene is in the moat of a castle. Mario is in a boat and this one guy throws characters from the flying ship and Mario has to catch them. You get three chances. The people can get stuck in a cannon. Two seconds later the cannon spits the people out and you have to catch them. The thing is that there is one of those fish in the moat and you better not waste your time trying to catch the people or it will get you BAD!!
•Classic
The scene is in the middle of two palm trees and someone is throwing people from the helicopter. There is no fish. Well, there is, but it doesn't do anything. It is just there to scare you off. The people can get stuck in the palm tree and it can get hard at times.
Helmet

•Modern
The scene takes place in a yard type place. This one guy is throwing stuff at you and you have to try to dodge them. Mario gets tired really easily so you have to make him go into a door and make him come out another. While the guy is throwing things at Mario, Mario has to hit the Power button and pick up all the coins. It gets really hard at times.
•Classic
This one is totally different. There are things falling from the sky and you have to run through the doors while are try to dodge the items the guy throws at you. That is all you do. There is no Power button and there are no coins. You can get many points for going through the doors. This is much more easier.
Chef
------
•Modern
This takes place in a kitchen. Mario and Luigi toss up different raw foods that Princess (Peach) has to cook. The food bounces off the pan and goes back up in the air and comes down. There could be as many as 4 types of food in the air. Once the food is cooked, you have to feed Yoshi. Just on thing, don't feed him burnt food!
•Classic
This is kind of different. This also takes place in a kitchen (where else?). This cat throws food up in the air and all you have to do is keep it in the air until he picks it up again. No cooking and no Yoshi. If you drop the food, a mouse comes and it eats it and runs away.
Vermin
--------
•Modern
There are 6 eggs on this open field and different characters come out from bushes and shrubs and try to destroy the eggs. You are Yoshi and you have a hammer and kill the animal when you walk by them. This thing can get HARD!
•Classic
You are some character (I can't really tell because it is the classic version)and these animals are digging in the ground and the come close to you and you have to smack them in the head to kill 'em. In this one, you have two hammers.
Donkey Kong

•Modern
In this thing you are Mario and your object is to save Princess (Peach), who has been captured by Donkey Kong. He throws barrels at you and you have to dodge them. You have to climb ladders and go through tunnels and stuff. This one is kind of hard. I still haven't gotten past it in easy mode.
•Classic
This one is just weird. Donkey Kong is at top and you have to dodge these balls that he throws at you. It is virtually impossible. You have to get to the top so you can win. This one is probably the hardest out of all the games listed.
Other Neat Stuff

•Easy and Hard
Those are the two difficulty levels you can pick from. It doesn't make the game harder, the person throws more stuff at you, or more vermins come at you. I usually go with hard because easy is too easy.
•Gallery/Game Baord
I refer to it as both. It is like a tips and tricks board. There are hints that will help you in the game. You have to earn them by beating a game. It is a nice feature.
Conclusion
------------
This is a nice game with many games. I like the classic/modern thing because that is a nice and unique idea. I played it and I thought I would review it. It is suitable for all ages. My whole family plays it. My mom, dad, my brother, and me! I'm planning to buy Gallery 3 because I liked this game, and I have to see what that one is like. This is a game worth consideration. Thanks.
