Pros: Great game, nearly every aspect of it. Graphics, sound, gameplay... VERY REALISTIC
Cons: Very hard to get used to. NO DAYTONA.
Not enough accurate sponsors.
The Bottom Line: This game is what the NASCAR race fan should be dreaming about. It's an extremely realistic NASCAR racing simulation.

| raz69's Full Review: Nascar Racing 3 for Windows |
I've always loved NASCAR, and I just couldn't help myself when I saw this game on the shelf. I purchased it, installed it, and it was everything I expected, maybe more. Any NASCAR fan would appreciate this game, maybe for it's detailed cars, or maybe for the very accurate tracks. Who knows? All I know, it's a lot of fun.
The Cars
Most of the Winston Cup Drivers will be found on this game, so your favorite is more than likely to be on it. Other drivers are also included, such as Busch Grand National drivers or the ample amount of other created drivers. Don't like any of them, well, create your own driver. Customize your paint job, pick a name, number, sponsor and you're ready to go racing.
The Tracks
Nearly every Winston Cup track and Busch Grand National track is included with this game. It doesn't include such tracks as Daytona and Pocono though. The rest of them make up for the loss. They are extremely accurate in detail and very entertaining to race on. The game gives you the option of braking help and shifting help to help out the beginners on these demanding tracks.
The Actual Race
You have the option to practice and qualify before the big race day. In practice, the main idea is to set up your car to make it run as fast and as stable as possible. I think this is the most gut-wrenching aspect of the race weekend. There are SO many options and changes you can make to your car; from tire pressures, to camber, even to how much fuel you put in your tank. The combinations are virtually endless. When raceday comes around, you will start according to the position you have qualified. The start of the race has a lot to be desired in my eyes. The pace lap is fine, other than the occasional person in front of you locking up the brakes. When the green flag drops, look out. It's a mess into the first corner (just like real life). I always say to myself, "If I make it through the first corner, I'll make it to the end." Needless to say, that's easier said than done. But, the enjoyment of it is awesome, especially for the devoted race fan of NASCAR WINSTON CUP racing.
This game takes A LOT of practice and patience, especially for the racer that runs 200+ laps. I think, the more, the better. The more laps you run, the more realistic it is. And this game is very REALISTIC.
