Zork was really the first game that ever existed for a PC. Back in the early 80s, various people at MIT developed the original Zork games, which you can buy really inexpensively along with "Return to Zork." People were fascinated with the challenging Zork adventures, even though they were 100% text games. Return to Zork, also rather old now, brought all that text to life. Maintaining the original mood of the game, Infocom did an excellent job with their installment. The adventure is interesting, mysterious, surprising, and challenging all at the same time. It's really worth a try.
