The Plot
---------
If you have seen the movie, you know the plot, but the game actually have more action in the scenes not shown in the movie. For example Obi Wan's perilous journey through the air ducts of Federation Droid Control ship. BTW: some of those scenes originally were in the movie, but were later removed. You can play as 4 main characters: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Captain Panaka and Queen Amidala.
Gameplay
---------
I haven't had such fun since MDK and Half-life! The gameplay is never boring, though mostly its search for the lever/key to exit level. There are a lot of jumping sequences and daring rescues and, of course, light saber action! You can Save at any time in the game. You can also see your inventory, your health and examine any objects or weapons you're carrying in the same screen. The AI is very limited - the person you escort either stands after you tell them to follow you, or runs ahead right into the group of enemies, crying for help. Again, Qui-Gon sometimes ignores that he's being pounded from behind, so you'll have to run and protect him. And I saw Destroyer droids get stuck when they roll into a heavy repeating cannon. I hope all those bugs will be corrected when the patch will come out for the game and it's going to be even better experience!
Graphics
---------
The cutscenes are as good as the movie itself, though I suspect they were meticulously re-created on computer with excellent detail level. Game uses a little strange perspective, like the one in "Relentless", though there are cheats to make game run with Top-Down or Behind the Shoulder perspective. Game characters are a little blocky, but all the important details are portrayed with great care, even the smallest ones like Obi-Wan's hair style! And as if that all was not enough: you can see four movie clips of the best moments from the movie right on the "Load/Start new Game" screen! I missed lip movement when you talk to somebody, like in half-life, but it's no big deal.
Music and Sound
----------------
The music is magnificent and taken right out of the movie! Voice-acting is very good, though some voices are not by original actors (like Qui-Gon). It's so much fun just to listen to Watto or Jar-Jar!
The Bottom line
----------------
Excellent arcade game for PC. A must have for any Star Wars fan! Worth every penny I paid for it!
