OK, I admit it! I'm a junkie! I love kitchen stuff! In fact, I have so much kitchen stuff that it has now begun to overflow into most other rooms in my house. But, of all my cookware, appliances, utensils, and serveware, I love my KitchenAid small appliances best! They sit proudly atop my counters, waiting patiently for their next task. That's why I feel no guilt or shame in paying $89 for a KitchenAid coffee maker. Sure, I could have bought a Mr. Coffee for $30, but it surely wouldn't have served me as well.
The KitchenAid 12-Cup Ultra Coffee Maker has a simple, uncomplicated exterior. Just three buttons on the front. But it's what's inside that makes this coffee maker a must have for any kitchen.
Inside, the KitchenAid coffee maker features a unique charcoal filter to help remove chlorine and other particles from the water and improve coffee taste. The filter lasts about 3 months and can be purchased just about anywhere the coffee maker is sold for under $10. There's even a handy little indicator under the water tank lid to help remind you when to replace the filter.
A small dial on the top of the machine lets you adjust the coffee strength from mild to robust, to suit anyone's taste.
The "Time Since Brewing" display lets you know how much time has elapsed since the coffee was brewed.
An external water level indicator shows you exactly how much water you've added to the water tank for more precise measurement of ground coffee and consistent quality and strength of brewed coffee.
The KitchenAid coffee maker even has a setting for 1-3 cups to ensure fresh coffee even when you only want a cup or two.
Operation of the coffee maker is simple. Add water to the water tank, coffee grounds to the paper filter in the filter basket, and press ON.
The exterior of the coffee maker is a durable plastic, either black or white, and cleans easily with a damp cloth.

Within the first year, just call their toll-free number, give them the model and serial numbers and your home address, and they will ship you a brand new unit. When you receive the new unit, just pack up the old one and send it right back. Shipping is all prepaid for you.

A little pricey for a simple coffee maker, but it's well-built and consistently brews a perfect pot of coffee every morning. Definitely worth the money.
