Your review was very thorough and quite helpful. I'm looking to move in with my boyfriend in a few months, which will entail driving across Tennessee and Arkansas - NOT a trip I'm looking forward to making in a big truck!
So I've been scouting out moving trucks, and I'm really thinking of going with Penske, not only because their fleet is supposed to be comprised of newer and better-maintained trucks, but because of experiences like yours - when something goes wrong, they fix it, within a reasonable period ot time, and offer reimbursement. Oh, what's it called... customer service. Heh.
Anyway, thanks for a great review!

For your great review... I am looking into renting a truck for a large event my University-College organizes in September, on four different campuses; and I had narrowed my choices down to Budget and Penske. Right now, Budget is in the lead because they do give our University-College an automatic 20% discount. I have yet to get quotes, but I'll go to Budget first and then go over to Penske and see what they offer.
I had a few friends move with Penske trucks and they said they were great and the service was great. We used a budget truck last year, but the service wasn't too hot. Even if we pay a few hundred more - solid service is what is important for me.

LOL Not really. :) I did my share of losing it, believe me. :) My hubby was the patient one. I was the one flipping out part of the way thru. :)
