I bought this product at my local Costco...yes there was only one color choice, although now I believe they've changed the model from white to stainless and upped the price quite a bit. I paid $49.99 for this and gave away my old food processor.
I have a very small kitchen (7'x 10'overall) and as one would imagine, space is at a premium. I didn't have a blender at all before buying this machine, which is why I got it to begin with. I was looking at blenders and found this. After thinking through my space issues, and the fact that this actually cost less than the plastic Oster blender right next to it on display, had a more powerful motor, and came with the food processor--granted not a full size fp, but enough to suit my needs, I decided to go with this.
I use it at least 3-5 times a week to make a strawberry milkshake for breakfast--I use frozen strawberries first on ice crush, then add the milk and splenda. I find the fruit/ice must be added FIRST followed by the liquid, or the solid stuff never quite gets chopped up. I also like the fp function to make chicken salad, or salsa etc.
I have a stand mixer to do bigger batches of stuff like bread dough or cookies or whatever, as I am professional baker/cake decorator, but for smaller jobs, this product wins the prize in my book.
I love the fact that it fits in a narrow, but deep cupboard and I can pull it out easily to do whatever I need to do, and wash it up easily and quickly and put it back. I do not like to see a lot of appliances out on my counters since they are so small to begin with, so this works great for me. The cord tucks easily inside the motor cavity so there are never any long cords getting tangled or caught on things. It is easy to clean both outside and in--just a quick rinse, a wipe with a soapy sponge and then dry with a clean towel. The buttons are sealed so there are no small crevices to trap crumbs or other "gunk" that might spill. I really like the shape of the blender jar with it's shorter, and wider construction, it is easier to get my hand inside to clean, as well as being easier to add ingredients.
Overall, I just really love this machine and have reccommended it to anyone I talk to who might be looking for either a blender or a food processor.
*UPDATE*

-buttons are: off, on, ice crush up the middle; stir, chop on the left; food processor, pulse on the right
2. Food Processor Unit:
-3 cup capacity plastic bowl with handle, cover and feed tube
-plastic pusher for guiding food through the feed tube
-metal chopping blade
-metal slicing/shredding disc with plastic shaft mount adaptor
