Clublike atmosphere in SF

I stay at the W in San Francisco often with my friend. We truly enjoy our time. One thing that makes the W in San Francisco stand out to me is the atmosphere. I love the party and social life. It's nice to have a hotel that feels like you are stepping into a first class lounge. The lighting, music and layout of the hotel make for a great retreat without missing out on the nightlife.
The service is great and the food is a bit pricy, however good. I was taken back at the cost of the snacks in the room seeing there are several stores in walking distance that will sell you a bag of gummy bears for less that $1.00 and the W charges around $7 plus tax, restocking and convenience fee. Suddenly those delectable treats just don't seem worth it.
