OutKast, with their first solid breakthrough the East Coast/West Coast hiphop scene, blast through with a solid album. None of the 'Jam'n' hullabaloo that you hear on the radio, their music makes you want to get down and get your groove on.
They have made a new name for hiphop, and even though this is their first solid album out, they have been featured in many other artist's album, and also, soundtracks.
Southernplaylistic shows a good progression from formal 'east coast' flow to a rejuvenated motown/funk/jazz hiphop music with a touch a personalized southern flava. This group is not afraid to touch all your senses with this album, as you can't help but blast this and get down with your friends. A new playa in the HipHop game, Outkast has already received a lot of commendations for their talents and their styles. Forget the gangsta this and gangsta that 'stuff' from the west coast MCs, Outkast's southern playa styles will make you want to get a dropped down caddy and cruise to the funky-assed beats.
