All though I purchased this movie several years ago, it has continued to be a GREAT movie for my family and friends. It was such a refreshing joy to finally see a movie the whole family could enjoy that was not overrun with language and sex. Although there a few hand gestures in the movie, the way they are presented did not offend me. Growing up watching the series on tv, I was amazed just how much the producers and writers stuck to the story line. Although it was modernized with bowling alleys and motorcycles, the jest of the Hillbillies was still there. Not only is this movies about a poor family from the hills getting rich, it was also about how money didn't change them from the trusting caring people they were. They stuck to their values and honesty. Ms. Tomlin and Ms. Leachman we both just wonderful in their roles. Ms. Tomlin portrayed Ms. Jane to a T and Granny was just wonderful. Although I felt the whole movie came together because of Jim. After all the Earnest movies, he proved himself once again a great actor who I for one will sorely miss. In his passing we have all lost a wonderful man and actor.
