But this one, while it was very nice to look at, was rather limp compared to the original. I kept waiting for something profound to be said, but somewhere along the line there was not any sort of spark. Even the ending was a let down -- I kept wanting Linus to break out of the business man mold, but he kept being so rottenly stolid. Feh. -- Telynor

I liked the re-make. Perhaps because I saw it first, the original later. But you're right, Harrison Ford is almost painful to watch. I've never really understood the drubbing Julia Ormond got over this one, though. Even though she isn't Audrey Hepburn, I thought she did pretty well.

to this movie is one of my favorites. I know what you mean about the differences, but somehow I like this version too. Maybe it is because ever since I can remember I've had a gigantic crush on Harrison Ford. ;) Nice review!
