To be very honest I did not want to see this movie. I don't usually like Stephen King movies, so I was pretty hesitant. Needless to say, I was captivated after the first scene, and even went to see it again the next night. I cried both times.
If you are expecting the usual lore and gore of a Stephen King movie, like I was, you will either be very disappointed or pleasantly surprised. It was done incredibly tastefully.
Every performance was Oscar worthy. I found myself crying for the innocent, seeking vengeance upon the guilty, and constantly trying to guess which was which. One minute I was laughing out loud and the next minute I was audibly sobbing.
It gives you a spine tingling look directly at pure evil, but it also shows you it's awesome opposing forces.
It's one of those movies that you walk out thinking, and talking about it like it really happened. The colorful cast of characters become real to you, because they're all so well crafted it's like seeing someone you know come alive on the screen before you.
Trust me, it is well worth the time and money to go see this movie.
