Plot Details: This opinion reveals major details about the movie's plot.
My 15 month son has become a Wiggles junkie and my latest mission has been to bring all the different Wiggles movies into our home. Its been really cute to watch him respond to these guys and actually get up and move to the music and attempt to imitate the different motions and dance along.
Yummy Yummy is not our favorite tape from The Wiggles but is one that we enjoy very much. Our favorite so far is "Wiggle Time", which I have also reviewed. Yummy Yummy features The Wiggles (Greg, Anthony, Murray and Jeff) and their friends (Paul the Cook, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog, Dorothy the Dinosaur and Henry The Octopus). The VHS tape is 36 minutes long and contains 14 tracks each around 2 minutes long.

What we like... The Food Songs, which the tape is named for (Yummy Yummy) are by far our favorites.
My son's favorite song performed by The Wiggles on Yummy Yummy is by far Hot Potato. In this song, The Wiggles dance the "Hot Potato" and then verses of the "Cold Spagetti" and "Mashed Banana". Each verse has its own hand/body motion that is simple and easy to imitate. So simple, that even my 15 month son can do it. This is the first song on the tape and it really sets the fun mood for the rest of the short program.
Crunchy Munchy Honey Cakes is by far my husband's favorite song on the tape. Here, The Wiggles share a recipe and baking instructions for a yummy snack made of honey, milk and muesli flakes. For this one they are all wearing chef's hats and aprons. The tune is catchy and once its stuck in your head you may find yourself humming it while you are out in the grocery store, etc.
A recipe for this tasty treat can be found here:

Fruit Salad is the song that the tape is named for. The chorus of song goes "Fruit Salad, Yummy Yummy... Fruit Salad.. Yummy Yummy", etc. The song is all about making up some fruit salad. This one is my favorite. My son LOVES eating fruit salad and also this song.
The other songs on Yummy Yummy are fun as well, in particular The Monkey Dance is a very high energy song about dancing like all different kinds of animals (Monkey, Tiger, and Elephant). I just wish it was more than the one minute or so in length! Another one that makes me laugh is Shaky, Shaky in which The Wiggles dress up in "Shakin' clothes" a la Elvis and do a special Shakin' dance.
What we don't like
Two of the songs on Yummy Yummy are performed by puppets instead of The Wiggles, themselves. The puppets are replicas of The Wiggles, themselves and are: Can You Point Your Finger and Do the Twist and Go Captain Feathersword, Ahoy. My son usually will watch these songs with a very puzzled look on his face and has on more than one occasion cried or gotten upset. In addition to the puppets being a bit creepy to me, the songs themselves and the background activity that the puppets are shot against can be just a tad overstimulating in my opinion. The good news is that they are very quick and over with before you know it.
Overall
Aside from the 2 puppet sequences, which may not be a problem for you, Yummy Yummy by The Wiggles is a great tape for your little ones. If they are a fan of The Wiggles its a must-have for all the crazy Wiggly food and dance. Kids love to dance and "wiggle" along with The Wiggles and you might find yourself Wiggling, singing and dancing along too!
This is one of the shorter tapes from The Wiggles which makes it ideal for a "quick fix". I definitely suggest you add Yummy Yummy to your Wiggles collection.
