Are you one of those people who really wants to be entertained? then i suggest that you see men of honor. This is a true story about a black man during the 1950- 60 who wants to become a deep sea navy diver but is always faced with diversity and discrimination, for the one fact that he is black and there is so much prejudice towards him.
Cuba gooden junior and Robert Dinero star in this film, both giving excellent performances. Robert dinero plays a master diver in the navy who has a career ending accident while tryin to save another sailor. Cuba gooden junior wants to become a master diver as well. he is faced with much diversity but every time he faces it he succeeds and accomplishes his goals and beyond.
I cant tell you much about the movie itself because i dont want to ruin a tremendous movie. I recommend you see it at least once, who would have thought a biography about a black man (the first black man) to become a diver in the navy would have been an extroadinary film.
The film itself last about 2 hours and 10 minutes but you wont notice it the time flys while watching this movie, it has almost everything action drama, and a young mans will that dedicated him to his dream and doesnt let anything pysical or mental stand in his way. If your going to see a movie this one is worth the 9 dollars you pay at a theatre. I give it 5 stars. ITs a family movie that people of all ages will enjoy, it will show you that if you dedicate yourself to your dreams nothing can stand in your way
