Re: Natural Stupidity (Reply to this comment)

I will try to bear the shame... < SOB >... :-P I probably wouldn't rate it helpful myself, but if it saves someone the agony of actually watching it, it would be more than Most Helpful...
There's nothing that could induce me to pay attention to this film, anyway! Just try and make me! Go on, try!
Oh great, those guys in white suits are knocking my door down again...

Hiya, Dave! Don't be put off by my "Helpful". You're right about the movie, I just like to see a nice, detailed dismemberment with my VH's. Which would have forced you to pay much closer attention while watching it. It wouldn't have been worth it.
cheers,
- Brian

Stop your ranting Carl, you sound just like a "The Matrix has added real value to my life" fan...

Hey, Logan's Run was fun!!!
2001 managed to place lower than this in my list... or higher, if you look at it that way...

I think the reason I'm so hard on this film is that it robbed me of precious hours of my life that I could have spent unproductively elsewhere...

understand it Dave. ;)
Easily one of the best, post millennium films yet, and the ending was perfect. :D

This had some nice visual content but it was too rambling, too vague and too boring. William Hurt was just awful. What a stinky movie! Good job, Dave.

Yeah, I gave this film the "Meet Joe Black" award for making 11 hours and 47 minutes somehow fit into less than three hours of real time. It's like I watched this movie on a trans-atlantic flight.

Even less of a Kubrick fan than I am (Reply to this comment)

I thought the multiple endings were just fine. It was the William Hurt scenes that I found insufferable. I thought that 2001's endings were far worse: everything after HAL was unplugged.
Why isn't LOGAN'S RUN on your list of sci-fi canines?

as hard on this movie as you are. But whatever redeeming qualities it may have had were killed by the ending.
