Plot Details: This opinion reveals minor details about the movie's plot.
Scraping the bottom of the honey pot, Disney takes the Country Bear Jamboree from the theme park to the cineplex. The result is nearly un-bear-able. In this live-action affair, the titular grizzlies are washed-up rock stars about to lose their beloved performance hall to a demolition-mad Christopher Walken (who's wonderfully strange, natch). So, when young Beary the bear runs away from his adopted human family to find his heroes, they all go on an adventure to change their fate. The threadbare story is little more than a patronizing exercise in forced corporate synergy as the crew runs into plenty of Disney-related musical artists just so they can perform songs from the movie's soundtrack. Even with a couple of smart jokes and more cameos than Austin Powers in Goldmember, targeted cubs and their adult keepers alike will find themselves wishing they had hibernated through this one.
