Put Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton together and how could anything go wrong? Well it doesn't. Something's Gotta Give will give you plenty of opportunities to laugh out loud. Sure the plot is a little thin, older man and younger woman thing, but the twists and turns that take place are quite hysterical. Only Nicholson could pull off this role in such fine fashion. He's a classic. My only complaint was seeing his buttocks three times...two would have been plenty. There's one scene with a close-up on Jack where I swear they spliced the film too quickly. His head seems to slide forward. You might catch it if you don't blink. Diane Keaton was amazing in her role too. I just thought she cried too many times. It was funny the first three or four times, but after that it was overkill. But laugh you will at this fun-filled comedy. At times the men in the audience laughed more than the women. Amanda Peet was well cast, but I felt the Keanu Reeves character (AND I do like him) was unnecessary. It just didn't add anything to the movie, certainly not believability. For just plain fun, it's a must-see movie.
