I normally don't watch "The Simpsons" in syndication on TV because I don't like to watch even the slightest edits on what may be the greatest animated TV show ever created. It's kind of hard for me to decide which season I would say is the best because I have been catching up with the show's most non-recent episodes on DVD. And I have all four seasonal boxed sets on DVD, so that kind of helped me out on this review.
But if I have to say that there is one season so far that I consider the greatest overall in terms in the collective excellency of every episode, I'd have to say that this is the one. There's just too much good stuff. "Marge Vs. The Monorail," "Mr. Plow," "So It's Come To This," "Krusty Gets Kancelled," "The Front," and "A Streetcar Named Marge" are all personal favorites of mine, and would fit in my top 30 list of all-time favorite "Simpsons" shows next to later episodes like "Two Bad Neighbors," which was a cheeky dig at the very George C. Bush who insulted The Simpsons as being the most immoral TV family ever, and "Homer and Apu," which features one of my favorite musical numbers of the series in "Who Needs The Kwik-E-Mart?"
Until I get to future DVDs, I have to say Season 4 is my favorite of all the seasons. And I can't wait to see what Season 5 gems there are I might have forgotten. Thanks for the comment. -DMB

I thought for sure I would have the first review on the 4th season. This was going to be my ticket for the "First Review Sweepstakes."

The simpsons are my favorite show so I will pick this up. Which season do you think is the best? I like 3-4-5 the most.
