was a big fan of Firefly and was chomping at the bit to see this movie. He wasn't disappointed and gives the film an enthusiastic thumbs-up. As for me, I'm pretty much with you. It was very well crafted, but I could live without all the noise and intense violence. It was artistically appropriate, but I found it wearing at times.

a few moments here and there for the TV show but went to the movie with my husband (a big fan). He somewhat filled me in on a few things from the show prior to seeing the movie which probably helped but I'm not sure. Anyway, we both really enjoyed the movie, thought it was a lot of fun. Now I want to see the 10 episodes of Firefly!

Like you, I hadn't seen more than a couple minutes of Firefly until recently. Then one of the cable networks had a marathon showing in preparation for the film, so I've seen something like 13 episodes now. I'm hoping to get out there and see the film sometime before it leaves theatres. :)
