Lucerne CX (Reply to this comment)
by pswillb
I was in the market for a good, used Camry/Accord-type sedan that would get good mileage. While looking for cars on the internet I noted used 2006 Buick Lucernes selling in the $16-17K range. They were ex rentals, being sold through GM dealers. I inspected a few and ended up buying an 06 Lucerne with 15K miles for an amazing price. It was well detailed and had no cosmetic or operational flaws that I could detect. The overall experience, being a CX with cloth seats, is "nice rental car" but then that would have been true for a used 4 cyl Accord or Camry. I am generally pleased and the trip highway mileage is incredible (3.8L V6) exactly 30 mpg at 78 mph for hundreds of miles. My major gripes are seats that are hard to get comfortable in (the bottom cushions are too long, lengthwise- I'm 5'6") and numerous buzzes and rattles from the dash and console.

....I am a bit surprised that this can be compared to an Avalon. Sounds like it is worth checking out.
Very good review!
