This E-IDE CD-ROM drive from ACER was automatically detected by the BIOS and the operating system. It features four buttons on the front panel-play, forward, stop and eject. The volume controls are in the form of two buttons, for raising and lowering the volume.
Additionally, there is also a 3.5-mm headphone socket and a drive activity LED INDICATOR. The rear of the drive features the normal jumpers that consist of the digital out, analog out, interface connector and power connector.
The construction of the drive is rather flimsy, with the front cover being very loose and easily detachable.
The rest of the package consists of an installation booklet that explains the components of the drive. With just about average build quality, this drive does not measure up to the standards of other drives in its class.
It has a very bad build quality, doesn't have that much of good features, not that good performance.
