Pros: As small as a large magic marker, good, simple e-camera to carry all the time.
Cons: No flash, marginal lens.
The Bottom Line: Has many limitations, but may be a good "extra" digital camera.

| txmike1945's Full Review: Aiptek PenCam Trio II Digital Camera |
For father's day my daughter gave me an AIPTEK Pencam 2, she said she bought it for about $40 on a TV shopping network. It is so easy to use, I loved it right away. You can take 107 pictures in the low resolution mode, or 26 in the high mode. The low res pictures are not very good, but the high res one are pretty good when you consider the source. I carry it with me almost everywhere now, and snap all kinds of shots and email them to family and friends all over. With its USB port, download is very simple. It works on the same software that came with the more refined Olympus D-150.
But you gotta keep things in perspective. In no way is this a good general-purpose camera, with no flash and very limited low-light capability, and a marginal fixed-focus lens it will not take many pictures you will brag about. However, for an inexpensive second digital camera, to take quick snapshots, it is the equivalent of disposable film cameras. Pictures in bright sunlight tend to have too much contrast and colors not saturated. The best light is early morning, late afternoon, cloudy weather, or under a patio or carport. In those conditions pictures are pretty decent.
