| nicolade's Full Review: Audiovox ACD-94 Car CD/ MP3 Player |
I am incredibly happy with this product so far. Not only is it the least expansive player I have seen that has MP3 playability but it is also loaded with features and sounds great. I have to include a comment about the Tuner because I had a Kenwood before this unit and the FM signal was average while the AM was bearly tunable at all. The biggest cmplaint I have is when playing regular CDs slight road bumps or scratches on disc will cause the CD to skip. However when playing MP3 CDs I have not found this problem. This might relate to the fact MP3s are compressed and therefore can be buffered a lot faster than regular CD-DAs. The equalizer preset in my opinion sounds best on any music genre when set in the "Jazz" mode. The other modes are useless. That might just be my opinion though. The fact MP3s don't fast forward or reverse tends to be what you see in all automotive MP3 players so far. I also need to mention the appearance of this unit. I have it installed in my Ford Focus and it looks great. Other units I have seen are not as easy on the eyes. Also the picture seen on some of the review sights really don't do the unit justice. I need to hold off on my assessment of the units quality till I have owned it a little longer. I have only had the unit 4 days but am thoroughly impressed.
