Creative Labs, My personal Favorite Sound Company for computers has once again made an excelent little speaker system.
I purchesed this speaker set for only $29.99 and found I was more than happy with my investment.
I found it was easy to install with plenty long enough wires to place the speakers anywhere I wanted. and the off speaker volume dial sits perfectly next to the monitor on my desk givng quick access to turning down the volume when encountering an unexpected phone call.
The sound quality is comperable to a top line home stereo. in fact, I've been told that I need to turn my stereo down quite often while I'm blasting mp3's over this little monster
The instal was as elementary as anything could get, The left speaker plugs into the left speaker jack on the subwoofer and the right into the right jack. the power cable plugs into the AC adaptor labeled jack and the audio wire to the sound cards Audio out jack is also labeled and even color coded. But, if you're still confused there is a complete installation document in the box with the speakers.
The satalite speakers sit atop my desk back to either side, and the subwoofer on the floor. there is still plenty of wire to move them if I like, but I am happy with everything as is.
if you want some great speakers to use with your system that don't cost a fortune, Give these a go.
But as a word of advice, when choosing a good sound system, it's not just the speakers that make the sound good, you'll want a good sound card too, 'cause if you play crap through great speakers, you're still listening to crap.
