Pros: The size. 10 place settings in one load.
Cons: Rusting racks, loud, rollers falling apart, doesn't always clean the baked on food, EXPENSIVE PARTS!!!
The Bottom Line: If the interior looks 25 years old and it is loud, you may as well buy a Whirlpool. This is priced like a Mercedes but is looks like a Pinto inside.

| thechamberlins's Full Review: Dacor Epicure IDW30 Built-in Dishwasher |
I am an Interior Designer of kitchens. When we built our custom designed home we were thrilled that with a family of 7 and about that many loads of dishes per weekend, we'd found a dishwasher that could reduce our "load" and be a great innovation in our kitchen. Within a few months the rolling rack wheels began slipping, cracking off, getting stuck. Then the "super coated nylon racks" began rusting. Now the dishes are not getting clean. It was always very loud, but the worst partis the estimate for the replacement of the interior pieces that are broken or rusting well before expected....$900!!!!! I got them down to $200 for the interior racks, etc, but have just found out that this model is now "obsolete", will be replaced with a new model in '09 and racks are not made any longer for my model. They will sell me a new dishwasher for a reduced rate, they said, Maybe $200 off??? RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. Even a warranty won't save you from this very expensive nightmare. WHY ISN'T THIS BEING RECALLED???? I feel like I'm never going to get this right since there are no new racks and mine look like a 25 year old dishwasher inside. I am still waiting for Dacor to let me know what they can do, but I am very discouraged. Designers and clients alike, stick with Kitchen-Aid...they make dishwashers!
