Pros: I can't think of any. Attractive paper weight?
Cons: Lying, poor quality product that will have to be replaced several times
The Bottom Line: I've read several reviews, and there seems to be a trend in the Inspiron series: overheating, fried processors, and motherboard issues.

I bought this model in September, 2003. During Thanksgiving weekend of that year, my processor fried. I got a replacement processor, but it fried 2 days later. I called again, and got another processor sent to me, however this time they told me it was "on backorder." Two weeks went by, and I still hadn't heard from them, so I called them back, and the tech support representative I spoke with told me that all the other reps had LIED to me. BLATANTLY LIED! He said there was never any such order for the parts I needed. I spoke with a supervisor and got them to send me a replacement one.
I received my replacement inspiron 5150 in Januaray 2004. It worked fine until March 2005, when I started having issues with overheating, and had to have the fan replaced. Now, I'm having issues with the motherboard. First the laptop wasn't recognizing that the adapter was plugged into it, but it could be remedied with a small and sometimes large amount of finessing. It reached the point, eventually, where no amount of TLC could get the computer to recognize that it was plugged into the outlet, so I called Dell and got a replacement motherboard sent out.
That worked for about 4 days. Now it doesn't work again, and no amount of jiggling the adapter can get the computer to recognize it. I had another motherboard sent out, but the onsite technician couldn't get the screw out of the motherboard because it had lost its threads. So now I'm getting a replacement for my Inspiron 5150.
Rumor has it that they're replacing it with a 9300, but I really don't feel like that's adequate compensation for my machine. My machine has a 3.06 ghz pentium 4 processor. The 9300 only sports a 1.7 ghz pentium m 740.
