Pros: Great Budget Machine, very cheap
Cons: Needs a better graphics card if you plan to play 3D games, no monitor included.
The Bottom Line: I recommend the e-machines tower for anyone looking for a great value computer. It gives good value and great performance for applications other than 3D gaming.

| freecash4's Full Review: eMachines T2085 PC Desktop |
I recently came face to face with a dilema that many owners of aging PCs face today. Should I upgrade my current PC or take the plunge of buying a new one? While my old PC was outdated, I wanted to make sure it was truly obsolete before I decided to purchase a new machine. My old system was a P-II 350 MHz with 128 MB RAM. It could still do many of the basic function I needed it for but was lacking for any new software and games. Sadly the Hard drive was lacking as well.
based off these problems I decided that if I could find a machine that fit my new needs and was still cheap, say under $500 that i could part with my old machine. I managed to find such a machine on a trip to Best Buy. As is common at these electronic and computer superstores, you can find great discounted electronics and computers at reasonable prices. I found an emachines desktop tower computer for just $430. It was the E-Machines T2085 PC model and matching it up with what I needed it for, seemed like a great buy. It featured an Athlon XP processor at 1.8 GHz and 256 MB of RAM. I chose to upgrade this to 512 MB since I would do some light gaming. I was very happy with my purchase, and after 3 months haven't had any significant problems with the machine.
The only downfall was that the machine did not come with a monitor, though I could use the one from my previous machine so that worked out well.
