Pros: Size, Quality of pictures, styling, features
Cons: not USB 2.0, can be slow to focus. I always want one more feature
The Bottom Line: Doesn't really do anything more then the F100. Just better laid out. If it doesn't matter save the $100 and get the older model.

| fenagogue's Full Review: Konica Minolta DiMAGE F200 Digital Camera |
Well.. I was really enjoying my F100 and then my girlfriend decided to spend a year in China to study. There goes my trusty F100. I was looking to auction some equipment off to afford the Nikon D70 (drool) and needed a camera quick to photograph the items to pawn. Since I had great experiences (with a few quirks) with the F100 and the F200 was cheap enough. I got it. And boy I think they must have read my mind (or lots of reviews) and fixed a lot of the problems I had with the F100.
The moved / new controls allows settings to be more easily changed without going through many menus. Battery life seems to be improved as well. Add too that the no time limit fix on recording movies, noise reduction on long exposures, custom shutter sounds (ewww), and improved center weighting exposure control.
Most importantly, my F100 would lose all it's settings when the batteries died. So I always had to be reset the clock, and since I do most of my shooting in manual mode, go and change all of those settings as well. That is now fixed. (It may have just been broken in my F100 though.)
Battery life could still be longer. But I won't complain about that. There is a lot or processing going on in there, and it has to get power from something. If use use the CRV3 lithium battery instead of the NiMH cells
you get about 3 times the battery life. (I use NiMH around town. But if I am going on a trip and will want to take lots of photos. Lithium is the way to go. It's worth the $7 a battery for the number of photos you can shoot w/o having to swap out your juice.
