| court's Full Review: Nikon N70 Film Camera |
About a year and a half ago I decided my old fully manual Cannon was through with it's long life. I needed something to carry me through the rest of school and on. I was looking for something advanced, yet easy enough my mom could use it; and I wanted something that was dependable.
The N70 is advanced enough for wedding photography, granted you may need an additional flash (not necessary Nikon, Sunpack works well also).
It has options you can't find on other cameras it's price. The automatic exposure bracketing is very helpful for school projects and when shooting slide film. It also allows you to program 3 favorite exposure combinations to quick recall when you need them in a flash! The N70 can be a simple as a point and shoot with the flip of a button. I've had people take one look at my camera and say "I can't take a picture with that" I flip it on a auto mode and with a push of a button their shooting.
There are 2 downsides I have come to with the N70. #1 I am into creative photography and there is no double exposure feature. #2 The camera is hard to learn if you are not familiar with it. I tell my customers to shoot on an auto mode until they are comfortable enough to try the more advanced options. You can go over it with a person, but if they have limited knowledge it takes them trying it themselves.
