Pros: Touchscreen, tiny, great battery life, wifi, tiny
Cons: USB 1.1, quite slow, VGA dongle instead of dedicated port
The Bottom Line: A nice, tiny laptop with touch screen, good battery life and wifi. Not a great performer, but handles basic tasks with aplomb.

| gadjitfreek's Full Review: Fujitsu LifeBook P1120 (FPCM20101) PC Notebook |
For 2 years now, my Fujitsu P1120 has been my portable machine. I almost never hang onto my laptops that long, but amazingly, after all that time, Fujitsu is still selling the same model with exactly the same configuration for the same price. How often does THAT happen? The model is due for an update. It is pretty slow, good for basic apps (which is what I use it for), but it is tiny, the battery lasts a nice, long time (especially the extended battery)and the touch screen is perfect. I bought this product after my first storm chasing trip to use with Delorme Earthmate GPS in my car. I used it in that capacity for a while, and it did work well. I took a trip to Philly from upstate NY and it did routing nicely...I had the audio hooked up to my car's cassette player, so I could listen to Audible books as well. It has been the machine I use at work (though I didn't use it much in the last year, using the school's computers and a USB stick instead). For the new school year, I restored it to factory fresh and installed Office 2003, Easy Grade Pro, Easy GPS, Garmin City Navigator 6, Paint Shop Pro 9, Firefox and Thunderbird. It has everything I need for work, travel and geocaching. It uses USB 1.1, though, not 2...a little bit of a nuisance, though not a deal breaker.
After looking at the new Toshiba U100, I am filled with lust for a new device...but the P1120 is small enough, and the keyboard, while tiny, is still perfectly usable. The mouse is responsive (though it does sometimes drift) and the touch screen is durable and bright. It's a keeper. Even if I get another laptop at some point, this one will still be a keeper. It's the Windows XP version of my trusty HP200LX, which I have had for 12 years and have no intention of ever giving up.
