Pros: The remote is good to throw at the hubby when he's out of line.
Cons: Doesn't work
The Bottom Line: Do not buy this product. It is a waste of money and Emerson does not stand behind their products at all.

| daydream183's Full Review: Emerson EWD2203 DVD Player / VCR Combo |
I received this hunk o' junk as a gift (some gift). It seemed pretty good because we needed a DVD player, but still have a lot of VHS tapes that my son likes to watch. About 4 DVD's later, the problems began. At first, the unit would freeze up in the middle of a movie. If I turned off the player for a while, it would work again. After 4 more DVD's, it quit altogether. I called customer service and the woman told me that since I did not have the receipt, I would have to pay for them to look at the unit. When I asked her about how much that would cost me, she actually told me that I would probably be better off to go buy a new one. I told her if I did, it would not be an Emerson. At that point, I had a very expensive VCR. Then, about a week later, it started eating my VHS tapes and eventually quit playing them or doing anything else. Call me crazy, but I would think they would at least be able to master ancient technology like VCR's. I immediately went on Epinions and did some research and now have a DVD player that has been working just fine for over two years.
