This was on add-on to a HP desktop I puchased -- heavily subsidised by a rebate (which was never sent). Took pictures one day, 3 days later the batteries were dead. Same story over and over. The solution from HP Support? - dont use alkaline batteries- Only rechargeable. Please. The piece of crap is responsible for putting the Energizer Bunny on the endangered list. How can everyone complain about the batteries, and still give it high marks?! My advise--Get a different camera , offering same picture quality and a normal life of 40-50 pictures.
