This pocket pc definitely lives up to it's name. It is a true miniature pc. I have not been dissatisfied with it in any aspect. I have found it to be compatible with any application that I have wanted to run. It is great for surfing the web wirelessly and at a high speed. It is so small that I can carry it in my front shirt pocket without hardly noticing. The battery has gone strong for me throughout a 12 hour day. It has an automatic sleep mode so that you can just leave it and pick up where you left off without wasting any battery power.
The 4155 comes with pocket word, excel, outlook, windows media player, internet explorer, a picture viewer, several games, msn messenger, a calculator, calendar etc. One unique feature of the 4155 is the built in voice recorder. There is a small button on the side that if you press, the 4155 starts recording and you can make audio notes for yourself. It files them away so that you can listen to them later. If it is off, it will automatically come on and begin recording as soon as you press the button. It is very convenient. The built-in bluetooth makes it easy to transfer applications, files, business cards etc. between pda's.
The screen is a 3.5" tft display with 64,000 colors. I don't know the exact resolution. The memory card slot is MMC/SD, for addition to the 64 mb sdram and 32mb flash rom built in. The battery can be removed and the cradle has a slot for the pocket pc, as well as a spot for an extra battery. It takes only an hour or so to charge after I've had it off all day.
A few of my colleagues have the dell axim with similar specs. I can say from first hand comparison that the 4155 is smaller, has better wireless range, and visibly better resolution than the dell. Not to mention that it is just more attractive.
I purchased the 4155 to use in a medical setting. It runs applications for me like "Epocrates Pro" and The "Wills Eye Manual". Now I have thousands of pages of pertinent information at my fingertips. I use it most for it's internet capabilities. If you are near a wireless access point, this product is a must have. I can check email,the weather, pay my bills,and instant message friends in minutes. It saves me time when I am at home. It's fast, small, lightweight, user-friendly, expandable, and compatible. I'm glad that I bought it. I paid $400 in Jan./04
