Kanguru Micro:
Before my friend showed me his new toy, I'd never heard of Kanguru and I'm sure I'm not the only person here! But they actually make a very wide spectrum of electronic products for computers. In any case, Kanguru's Micro MP3 player/USB drive is pretty cool.
You can store and play MP3s and you can store other files such as Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and even short videos. It's quick and easy to save files to the Kanguru Micro, just drag and drop or save the files directly to the drive. The Kanguru Micro, in most cases, does not require a driver to be used. It is compatible with a wide array of operating systems including Windows, Mac, and Linux. The Kanguru Micro uses a battery to power the MP3 playback, the cool thing is it charges when plugged into any USB port! The battery lasts a long time too...about 20 hours! What's really great about this is it's so damn small, it would be perfect to use when I go running. However, I already have an MP3 player and a couple USB drives. My friend who got it as a gift has really enjoyed it.
Store: Any file type including; photos, MP3s, video, and data.
How It Works: Plug it into any USB 1.1 port and drag and drop files into the drive. It's that easy! No drivers needed and there's no problem with Mac-PC and PC-Mac file transfers.
Features:
- MP3 Playback
- USB 1.1
- Rechargeable Battery
- 20 Hour Battery Life
- Windows, Macintosh and Linux Compatible

Data Transfer Speed: 12MB/sec
Kanguru Capacities Available: 64MB - 512MB
Included: Kanguru Micro MP3, Mini Ear Buds, Detachable Neck Strap, USB Cap and Drivers CD
Conclusion:
For $199.99 it's a decent value. You would probably be better off buying a Nomad Jukebox, which will give you more storage and some better features for MP3 playback. I still think it's pretty cool and I like how small it is (about the size of my thumb!). My friend hasn't had any problems with compatibility, playback or anything else. And since it withstands 1,000 Gs of shock you hardly have to worry about breaking it! I recommend the Kanguru Micro MP3.
