Pros: Crisp screen. Powerful and loaded with lots features yet still thin and lightweight.
Cons: Bad design with heat on your left palm. Preloaded junk software. Cheap plastic button components.
The Bottom Line: I definitely would recommend this. Dell is usually about 1k to 2k lower than the other brands for the same features.

A few things I love about it..
1) The screen is clean and sharp. No dead pixels.
2) So many features yet still light enough to carry everywhere.
3) Battery has a tester to see how much power is left. I think this is very handy.
4) The cdrom and battery can be dismounted for less weight. When Im around the house, I dont really need those 2. Although, I wish Dell would sell some sort of slot fillers so the pins and circuits are not exposed when you dont have the batter/cd-rom mounted.
A few things I didnt like..
1) Its preloaded with junk software. I reformatted and install XP Pro from scratch.
2) I'm somewhat forced to use the highest resolution (very small fonts, but clear)
Because if I try the other lower resolution, the letters looks kinda thick and fuzzy, but it is still clear. Its just a minor gripe.
3) The heat that comes off from the laptop right under your left palm. The other reviewer here was right. I thought it was something I can ignore but the next morning after using it for a few hours last night, my left palm seems messed up.
4) Cheap plastic materials used for the power buttons and touchpad buttons. My right touchpad button seems like its kinda dipped down compared to the left touchpad button. The power button feels flimsy when you press it.
