| sunnysoleil's Full Review: Sony VAIO FR130 PC Notebook |
For a while I was completely satisfied with this computer. I am a graduate student and use it to record data, write protocols, prepare presentations... pretty basic stuff. I was able to use it daily with no complaints, other than an incredibly touchy mousepad that would open and close programs with no prompting from me. As soon as the warranty expired my touchpad followed suit. Now I often have to restart my computer at least 10 times just to get the mouse arrow to move. When it does eventually work, it freezes constantly while I am using it and I often have to reboot the computer again upwards of 10 times before I can use the mouse. When it does work without freezing for great lengths of time, it often jumps across the screen, moves but doesn't work, or disappears entirely. I can't remember a time when I have used this computer and not had a problem with the mouse. This is the cycle I go through every day. It is so frustrating that I dread having to turn on my computer, but I need it for work. As a matter of fact, the mouse is frozen once again!
