Got this MP3 player as a birthday present for my husband, and he hasn't stopped using it.
This MP3 player is stylish and small and yet it can hold a lot of songs (at least 50). The controls are easy to figure out with the manual, and when you get used to them, it's as easy as pie. The extra remote that comes with it is rarely used and is just extra wiring. You can put the MP3 player in your shirt pocket and walk around with it. Loading songs into it, using the enclosed software, is simple. This is a great MP3 player for a beginner - it's very underrated and the price isn't bad for its size. It sounds crystal clear - just like CD. The sound of the radio is so-so, but that all depends on the reception that you're getting.
The only negative thing I can think of is if you set up folders in your queue of songs. It takes getting used to press the right sequence of buttons to open the folders and play the songs in them. Frankly, you don't really need to set up folders because it's not like you have 1,000 songs in it.
There is no shuffle mode for songs in the queue, but you can just forward on to the next song or look for the one you want to play. Since it only holds so many songs, you'll find it quick to find the song you want to play. It comes with a radio so you can preset stations. Changing from radio mode to MP3 mode is simple.
Haven't used the recording device that comes with the player. Haven't needed to buy a bigger disk - the internal drive is sufficient. It's great that it only takes a regular AA battery, which lasts really long.
I'm surprised that people haven't caught on to this MP3 player. The Panasonic SD player is a lot more expensive, a tad tinier, but only holds a few songs compared to this one.
