Great phone for families with teens!

Pros: Great price and features, nice size, works great and can add more phones.
Cons: Having to delete caller ID calls from EACH phone.
The Bottom Line: Great phone for the money, would not hesitate to buy another one (extra hanset) and I highly recommend this phone.

Wow, I am amazed at how many people have rated this phone system bad. I think that a lot of phone problems are not always in the phone, but in the phone lines and with the phone company.
Bought this phone system around the first of the year (2003) so have had it for awhile now. I got mine from amazon.com.
I wanted an answering machine and the caller ID was of great appeal,as we did not have it on our last phone.
This phone has some awesome features and pretty good battery life as well.
I bought a second handset for my teen son to put in his room since he was always taking our other phone and I could never find it. Now he has his "own";o)
He uses the handsfree option all the time talking to his friends, and I can hear the voice on the other side from his room all the way out in our living room and have had to tell him to turn it down..hehe
I like the way the keypad lights up, our other cordless phones never had that feature. The intercom is great, instead of yelling for my son I can call him in his room, or when he is in the pool. Very kewl!
I don't really have anything bad to say about this system but once in awhile we get some echoing (sp?) that drives me batty, normally will just call the person back and it fixes it. But for all I know that could be the lines.
It happens on my cell phone too, so it isn't enough to bug me or make me think the phone is garbage.
I also like the way it tells you when you have a message waiting (light on phone flashes and also says it on the screen) when you have voice messaging with your phone company.
