This product pretty much stepped into the Weibull (Bathtub) curve and slipped and fell in its ass (in terms of performance)right from the get-go!!! i was pretty skeptical of this product to begin with, as many reviews noted the lack of customer tech support. however, during the 4 days my unit actually did function, i was beginning to enjoy it. i also was glad that my record collection was transferring to my computer well - and i even recorded some old tracks from cassette tape!! sometimes a high frequency click or squeal proceeded the tracks. just as i was feeling good about my investment, the unit decided not to regain consciousness (ie it would not start - just stayed on the " operating system 1.28" readout and then dies (shuts off)). also, there was this strange smell from the unit - kinda like Windex. it got worse the longer it was left "on." i'd definitely purchase additional warranty on this product, if given the option.
