Pros: Rational Price, Doubles as HDD, Very good sound, NiMHi batteries included. plays real mp3 files.
Cons: Confusing manual, awkward menu navigation, tiny display, cheezy headphones, no support of ID3 Tags
The Bottom Line: If money is no object, get an iPod, if it is, get the studio 10.

| mark1620's Full Review: Archos Jukebox Studio (10 GB) MP3 Player |
Installed drivers, rebooted and everything worked (Hey, I have a Macintosh, what else would you expect?)
Simple Playlist Creation:
1. I created a folder on the Jukebox
2. I opened up iTunes and selected all of the songs in my playlist.
3. I dragged the contents of the playlist onto the folder I created with the same name
Once you remove the USB cable and start the unit up, you can navigate to that folder with the plus and minus keys and hit the play button to select. A second hit will start the player. (Note: the shuffle mode is a good idea for long playlists.)
The unit includes a line-out jack in addition to the headphone jack so you can connect it to your stereo via an adapter and a line-in jack (no idea why)
Also worth noting is the poorly explained quick-menu feature: The '"ON" button doubles as a modifier key(like teh control or alt key on your keyboard.) By holding the "on" button you can adjust the volume with the '+' and '-' buttons and lock the controls with the stop button. "ON" plus the play button brings up a list of songs in the current directory. I haven't used this much, but I think you can use it to jump to another song quickly.
Finally, included headphones aside, the sound is wonderful. The fold-up design of the included headphones and inclusion of a volume control simply don't make up for the painfully bad sound. Get a pair of Koss SportaPro headphones.
