Pros: Beautiful streamlined design, easy controls, weather bands, TV audio
Cons: Defective headphone plug and audio control on mine
The Bottom Line: The jury is still out until I go get a replacement and see if it develops the same problems that this one had.

| thatgirl009's Full Review: Sony Walkman D-FJ401 Personal CD Player |
I received this Walkman for Christmas this year. Within a week or so of light use, there was a slight crackling that was audible whenever the headphone plug is touched. Also, the volume control completely stopped working - the volume is stuck at a constant level.
Otherwise, this is an amazing piece of technology for the price - although I would like to see it have more radio pre-set buttons (more than 3). Maybe I just got a bad one - I'll return it and try again. Wondering if anybody else has had these problems.
I would recommend this Walkman to everyone as long as the others are not faulty like the one I got. The controls are fairly straightforward after reading the user guide, and the sound is incredible.
The case design is beautiful. However, it is slippery and difficult to hold onto. You'd definitely want to keep it in a case while using it. It also appears to be fairly fragile which makes me wonder how practical it would be for sports use. It's also hard to find the volume control without looking, as you would need to while you're jogging or walking. The button that opens the case is a bit hard to operate, too. But all of this is made up for by the excellent sound quality and the overall quality.
