I bought this laptop the week i entered college. I opened it and i was amazed at the huge screen...and what a beautiful screen. the pointing device is a state-of-the-art touchpad which is so easy to use. The Operating System, Windows XP, is the hybrid of the two Microsoft Windows lines and it combines the best functions of each line to create an easy to use & powerful OS. It also includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery which is awesome. To give you an idea of how long the battery life is...I copied a CD onto my hard drive and then i burned a cd with the optional DVD-CDRW drive...and it only used 13% of my battery life...plus the recharging of the battery is quick. With the purchase of the laptop...You get one free year of America Online...a $265 value*. If you are purchasing your first laptop or even need a new laptop...definitely check into this great budget laptop!!
