Pros: I heard that Sony TV's were the best, I could be wrong!
Cons: Pop goes the TV then no sound!
The Bottom Line: Sony TV still not working like it should, back to the shop it goes. Hope it gets fixed this time. Sony, what happened to your quality?

| gdeleon's Full Review: Sony KV-34HS420 34 inch TV |
Heard Sony TV's were the best so I bought one without the warranty, shame on me. Had my Sony KV-34HS420 for a couple of months or less and my wife told me that the TV makes a popping sound when turned on and then loses the audio (no sound) and channel function (cannot change channels). Sure enough, I noticed that when I turned it on it will do this sometimes. The fix is to power cycle the TV on and off. Called Sony they had me try a few things like unplugging the TV for a day to get rid of any built up static electricity but nothing worked. So I had the TV sent out to a Sony authorized factory repair shop for two weeks and they returned it to me with the same problem unfixed. I called them again, told them if I am going to spend $285 they need to fix it. They took it again and returned it to me today, 24 days later. They said they could not duplicate the problem but replaced an electronic board in the TV. Well, I had the TV at home and duplicated the problem in less then 4 hours. Besides this problem, now the Screen Mode function does not work, it is now locked on Normal Mode, cannot change it to Wide Zoom, Full Mode or Zoom Mode (all other functions work). Called the TV shop about the Screen Mode Function not working and they told me that maybe I do not know how to work the menu or the remote control. Man, I feel like I am living in the Twilight Zone. Doesn't anyone take responsibilities for their actions anymore. The TV itself is plugged into the power outlet on the wall with no other electronics attached and the cable is direct into the TV (no cable box). Has anyone had this problem or similar problems.
